    I’m an avid cyclist and found my sweat got into my everyday watch’s band, causing grease to smear onto my wrist. I decided on this watch because it’s a plastic-rubber type band & had a solar power system so no batteries required. This fits into my environmental philosophy of going green whenever possible. I can sweat away & no grease ends up on my skin, and it keeps perfect time.

    It’s well made and sturdy. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is these watches always come with more functions than you need. I find that annoying.

    I am a firefighter and this watch has gone into some high temp environments, and I had the pleasure of having to lay down my motorcyle, and the watch took some pavement friction: I still wear it today: just a little scuff. Good, solid, indestructible hockey puck of a watch

    The solar power and atomic time keeping features are great addition from the classic dw6900. Larger display/digits and black gray combination are also neat updates. My only gripe is you can’t see the actual time in stop watch mode compared its older brother dw6900. But for $80, you can’t go wrong with this G. Tough, rugged light weight and worry free maintenance.
